windows - fix mbr without having a windows xp cd

So the problem is to restore the mbr without having a windows xp cd. It is also possible that you windows xp cd has a problem with your sata device ;-).

What you need to do?

  1. Download gparted: link
  2. Put gparted on a usb stick, cdrom, whatever you prefer
  3. Start the geparted and start "TestDisk"
