This edition is based on KDE 4.8.4. It is a DVD edition with a selection of the most popular applications like firefox 14.0.1, thunderbird 14.0, gimp 2.8 or Calligra 2.4.3, k3b 2.0.3, amarok 2.5.0 kept mostly vanila !
source It looks like manjaro simplifies the installation- and configurationprocess. Well, i like it as long as everything is still based on the arch way (having configfiles that can be readed by humans). But it is more or less dealing with the devil, since you just install it but don't have to learn "what has to be done". Source
