Zum Thema TV's finde ich es schade, dass es kaum noch TV's "ohne Elektromüll" gibt - sprich der gleiche Trends wie bei den PKW's. Ich möchte keine "Bildoptimierung", ich kaufe HD-Datenträgermedien, das Bild ist also schon optimal. Was die Qualität der TV-Sender angeht ... nun, was nützt mir Scheiße in HD. Erst wenn der Inhalt gut ist, hätte man Zeit um sich über die Signalqualität zu kümmern.
Beim Thema Staubsauger ist es wie mit allen Elektroartikeln. Ob in der Küche (Mixer, Microwelle ...), oder im Bad (Föhn), oder eben der Staubsauger - überall hätte ich gern Motoren mit weniger Leistung, um des Ohrenfriedens wegen. Und wenn die Dinger dann ein paar Jahre halten (so wie der alte Krups Mixer aus dem Jahre 1979 - dem der hat all die Attribute, die ich gern habe), dann bezahle ich auch Geld dafür, viel Geld.
Bei den heutigen, teuren Geräten ist es jedoch so, dass man viel Geld ausgibt und das ganze Spiel nach drei oder fünf Jahren wiederholen darf, warum - liebe Hersteller - dann also noch viel Geld ausgeben, wenn es keinen Unterschied in Sachen Haltbarkeit gibt?

Do people expect estimates (or are they promises in your organisation?) on exactly how many flowers will have bloomed in one years time? Do you have a bonus tied to that? Things that would be perfectly reasonable to plan for a skyscraper seem a little ridiculous when you are talking about a garden

I have no idea how much I have to honor the people around rhizomatica. They are doing things right and making the world better. In germany, we only have problems bring the internet to the people (and with internet, I mean something with higher bandwith) and even this is not an easy task (special thanks to the politics and the nearby telecom monopol). The good part about our internet problem, the hardware is there. To build up a mobile phone network (that is stable and scalls well) is something different.
